This is a GLL client, one centre out of the 260 centres for whom we have worked for on a number of occasions. On this occasion, we were invited to inspect the site as there had not been any defensive maintenance carried out for some time.
The floor was not displaying safe levels of traction. This meant that sporting activity was a health and safety risk. We soon found that this project would prove challenging, as there had been a number of seal applications carried out in the past. As a result, our specialist machinery was being put to task to remove the layers of sealant and reveal the base material. The base was a Junckers SylvaSport 22mm Beech premium floor system. Once we got to this layer, we then set out and painted all games lines to the existing specification before applying 2 coats of Bona Super Sport HD Accredited seal system.Â
There were relatively few repairs needed on this floor, as the original installer had laid it according to the manufacturer’s regulations. All concerned were delighted with the finished result. We revitalised this relatively old floor system and brought it to pristine condition. This is one of the many benefits of Junckers’ products, which makes it no surprise that they have a world wide footprint.
