This is all we do, and we have been doing it since 1987. Installation, restoration, sanding, sealing, line marking, slip testing and maintenance for commercial and institutional buildings, delivered without subcontractors. Residential projects go to our sister company, Ryan’s Restorations.

A sports hall is usually the hardest-working room on site, and every day it is shut costs something. So the programme is built backwards from your calendar: overnight shifts, weekend blocks, phased sections or holiday windows, whichever protects the most bookings.
Curing times are built into that plan and stated plainly, so you know exactly when the floor takes foot traffic, when equipment can return and when full play resumes. The handover date is agreed in writing before we start and it does not move.
Trusts and operators rarely have one floor to worry about. They have several, in different condition, and pricing them separately produces inconsistent specifications and prices.
We survey the estate together, produce a single specification and a packaged price, then work through the sites in one programme with one point of contact. You get the same standard at every hall, one set of documentation including slip test reports per site, and a keener price than booking each individually.
Institutional work carries institutional requirements, and we handle them as routine rather than as an afterthought: method statements, risk assessments, insurance documentation, CDM compliance where a project falls under it, and the safeguarding considerations that apply when working in schools.
Each project closes with a documented handover so your duty-of-care file is complete rather than patchy, and we are used to the paperwork trusts and local authority procurement teams require.
Our installation at Hornbury Academy shows the full process from bare sub-floor through to a finished, fully line-marked hall, delivered to a fixed programme while the school carried on around us.
For anyone weighing a new floor against another patch-up, it is a useful illustration of what the complete journey involves and what it produces.

An outstanding company to deal with and they couldn’t have been better to work with. St George’s Ascot now has a stunning new sports hall floor and we are delighted. From quote, support, delivery and after sales, the Team has been brilliant. Thank you. ![]()

Considerably less than most people expect, because restoration rather than replacement is usually the answer. A full sand and seal typically costs a small fraction of a new floor. The survey is free, the quotation is fixed, and nothing is added later without your agreement.
The full area and the counties around it. Where a facility is some way from us, we bring all machinery and materials at the outset and complete everything within one agreed window.
No. Courtship Flooring is a commercial contractor working on large-scale sports and institutional floors for schools, academies, universities, leisure trusts, councils and clubs. Private homes are handled by our sister company Ryan’s Restorations.
Our work is large-scale: full sports halls, multi-court leisure facilities, specialist court installations and whole-estate programmes across multiple sites. If you are unsure whether your project fits, call and we will tell you straight away rather than wasting your time.
Almost always, and it is usually the right answer. Sanding back to clean board, repairing and resealing costs a fraction of a new floor with far less disruption. We only recommend replacement where moisture or sub-floor failure genuinely rules restoration out, and we show you the readings.
