We are a family firm, established in 1987, and Berkshire has given us some of our most satisfying projects, including the Granwood floor we restored at St George’s in Ascot and the gymnasium we transformed at The Bradfield Club. Our own team does every job, nothing subcontracted.

Reading refurbishments run to our proven programme: moisture checks, dust-controlled sanding back to clean timber, honest repairs, sealing matched to the hall’s workload and precise new line markings for every sport on the timetable. School crests go in under the final coats if you want them.

The sports hall at St George’s in Ascot had a Granwood floor that decades of use had left dull and tired. Granwood cannot be sanded like timber, so we restored it the right way: careful preparation followed by a modified epoxy coating system and fresh markings, giving the school back a hall that looks and performs like new.

At The Bradfield Club we took a gymnasium floor that had served generations and brought it back to life, one of those before-and-after transformations that photographs barely do justice. It is typical of our Berkshire work: buildings with history, floors worth saving and communities that need the space back quickly.

It depends on the floor. A tired but sound timber hall wants a sand and seal at a fraction of replacement cost, while a worn Granwood floor, like the one we restored at St George’s in Ascot, takes a specialist coating system. Either way the survey is free and the quote is honest.
Granwood looks like small rectangular blocks laid in a brick-like pattern, usually in buildings from the 1950s to 1980s, and it feels harder underfoot than timber. Send us a photo and we will identify it for free, because the restoration route is completely different from a timber floor.
That is our busiest and best time. Half terms suit smaller refurbishments, while the summer break gives room for bigger programmes. Berkshire slots fill a term ahead, so early booking gets first choice of dates.
