Sports Hall Flooring Southampton

Indoor Sports Hall Flooring Installations Throughout the UK, Europe & Worldwide

From the Solent to the New Forest, Southampton’s sports halls keep some of the busiest timetables on the south coast, and Courtship Flooring keeps their floors ready for it. We provide installations, refurbishments and maintenance for schools, universities, leisure centres and clubs across the city and wider Hampshire.

We are the original sports hall flooring company: family-run since 1987, with our own team and machinery on every project and nothing subcontracted. Our south coast work even crosses the water, including the sports hall we refurbished at Medina Leisure Centre on the Isle of Wight.

If you have a wooden floor elsewhere in the building that needs restoring, our sister company Ryan’s Restorations will have a solution for that too. Whatever the project, a straight answer and a fair price are one call away.

Sports Hall Floor Refurbishment In Southampton

When a Southampton hall starts looking tired, the floor rarely needs replacing. It needs sanding back to clean timber, honest repairs, a seal matched to the traffic and a crisp new set of line markings, which is exactly what our refurbishment service delivers. Dust extractors run throughout, so the rest of the building carries on as normal, and school crests or club logos can go in at centre court while we are at it.

Everything is done by our own team from first survey to final coat, and we will happily work overnight, at weekends or through the holidays so the hall loses as little bookable time as possible.

And the refurbishments come with the full toolkit. As sports flooring contractors for Hampshire we also handle floor sanding, court line marking, sprung dance studio floors and squash court maintenance, one team throughout.

From The Solent To The Island: Medina Leisure Centre

Some of our favourite south coast work sits a ferry ride from Southampton. At Medina Leisure Centre on the Isle of Wight, we took a sports hall floor that had given years of hard service and returned it looking like a new installation: sanded, repaired, resealed and re-marked as one programme of work.

Island logistics do not faze us any more than distance does. The machinery travels, the schedule holds and the finish is the same one we deliver everywhere: a floor the centre is proud to open the doors on. If your facility is considering the same journey, we would be glad to show you the results.

Badminton, Netball And Every Court Between

Southampton loves its badminton, and badminton is fussier about floors than people expect: consistent friction for lunges, true bounce off the boards and markings that stand out clearly from the basketball and netball lines sharing the hall. We install and refurbish badminton court flooring alongside every other indoor sport, marking each court to its governing body specification in its own colour.

Add pendulum slip resistance testing and planned maintenance, and your hall stays safe, legible and competition-ready all year round.

Great competitive quote, quality job start to finish. would highly recommend for all your flooring requirements. Pilton Community College.

An outstanding company to deal with and they couldn’t have been better to work with. St George’s Ascot now has a stunning new sports hall floor and we are delighted. From quote, support, delivery and after sales, the Team has been brilliant. Thank you. 👍

FAQS

The hall size and the state of the existing floor decide it. Sanding and resealing a sound timber floor costs a fraction of replacement, and new installations are priced per square metre by system. The survey is free and the quotation is fixed.

Yes, and most Southampton halls need exactly that. Each sport is marked to its governing body specification in its own colour so the courts stay legible together, and we plan the layout around your actual timetable before any paint goes down.

Yes, using the pendulum method to BS 7976-2, with a written report at the end. It is a quick, inexpensive visit that either reassures you or gives you clear evidence that the floor needs attention.
